About The Position

Pediatrics Plus is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Fieldwork Students to join their team. The role involves positively impacting the lives of children diagnosed with special needs. Pediatrics Plus is a collaborative pediatric healthcare provider committed to helping children succeed through evidence-based therapy, developmental preschool services, state-of-the-art facilities, specialized equipment, family support, and community investment. The fieldwork program focuses on developing both theoretical and practical skills for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position, including monthly knowledge checks, assignments targeting clinical application, and on-site/remote mentoring by a supervising BCBA. The student will also assume the role of a Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT), directly implementing behavior analytic services under the supervision of a BCBA. This role involves implementing treatment plans, assisting in observational assessments, preparing materials, implementing teaching procedures, maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality, ensuring visual supervision of the child, representing the program positively, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Requirements

Enrollment in ABA Graduate Program
Complete 40 hours of paid training by supervising BCBA (must be completed within 90-day period once hired)
Pass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBA
Pass the RBT exam through BACB to become a Registered Behavior Technician
Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Maintain HIPAA compliance, child/employee confidentiality
Maintain visual supervision of the child at all times; NEVER leaving a child unattended
Maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Complete tasks in a timely manner

Pass the RBT competency assessment conducted by supervising BCBA
Complete annual renewal through BACB
Receive ongoing supervision and comply with BACB’s ethics requirements

Responsibilities

Complete monthly knowledge checks to review BCBA Task List content.
Complete monthly assignments targeting clinical application of BCBA Task List content.
Receive on-site and remote mentoring provided by supervising BCBA.
Apply clinical knowledge to tasks on-site to increase competence in BCBA job duties.
Assume the role of a BT/RBT, directly implementing behavior analytic services under the close supervision of the BCBA.
Work directly under the supervision of the BCBA.
Help implement the treatment plan developed by the BCBA, parents, and therapists.
Assist in observational assessments with the BCBA.
Prepare materials as needed for sessions.
Implement appropriate teaching procedures determined by supervising BCBA.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and child/employee confidentiality.
Maintain visual supervision of the child at all times; NEVER leaving a child unattended.
Represent the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
Maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment.
Work with supervisor to develop high level of behavior analytic expertise and grow in practice and performance.
