About The Position

LBAPS National is seeking a highly grounded and empathetic ABA Behavior Therapist for a part-time, in-person role in Port Chester, NY. This position involves working with a brilliant 16-year-old male client who is verbal and moderately functional but presents severe behaviors. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Spanish and possess nerves of steel, a heart of gold, and the ability to remain calm and structured during high-chaos situations. The primary goal is to shape behaviors and improve life skills.

Requirements

Must be fluent in Spanish.
Must be highly empathetic and responsible.
Must be able to remain calm, cool, and structured when chaos levels are high.
Must be able to handle severe behaviors.
Must be available for mandatory sessions on Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Must be able to commit to 15 high-impact hours per week.
Must be comfortable with in-person, home-based therapy.

Responsibilities

Provide in-person ABA therapy to a 16-year-old male client in his home.
Implement behavior intervention plans to shape behaviors and develop life skills.
Manage and de-escalate severe behaviors effectively.
Collaborate with the family to determine a flexible schedule for the majority of the hours.
Maintain a calm, structured, and empathetic approach during therapy sessions.
