About The Position
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) to provide one-on-one in-home support to a verbal six-year-old boy in Rye Brook, New York. The child has a moderate level of functioning and significant challenging behaviors. The technician will use clinical skills, remain calm during difficult moments, follow the behavior plan, and support skill development and meaningful progress. Sessions take place after school, with approximately 25 hours per week available. Spanish-speaking candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Dependable, patient, proactive, energetic, and compassionate.
- Experience or credentials as a BT or RBT.
- Comfortable supporting a child with significant challenging behaviors.
- Able to remain calm, follow a behavior plan, and think on their feet.
- Professional and able to bring positive energy and consistency to the case.
Nice To Haves
- Spanish-speaking ability; bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one behavior support to a child in the home.
- Follow the behavior plan and support the child during challenging behaviors and transitions.
- Help the child build skills and recognize progress, both large and small.
