Work involves planning and providing a daily program of developmentally appropriate, academically-oriented, nurturing, and enriching experiences for elementary school-age children. Work involves assisting with the administrative, and parent communication functions of the program. The employee is also responsible for implementing activities as planned, managing the program staff and operations, maintaining communication and relationships with the assigned school site administration and teachers, supervising students during activities, engaging in activities with the children, and maintaining relationships with the community. In some cases, the Assistant Site Coordinator is the spokesperson for the program, representing it to the community and the media. Reports to the appropriate supervisor. This is an 8-hour-a-day (10:00-6:00), Monday-Friday position and may require evening hours one time a month.
