A/R Staff Accountant

Precision Door Service•Woodinville, WA

About The Position

The A/R Staff Accountant owns the full accounts receivable cycle for both the commercial and residential sides of Precision Garage Door Service, a multi-branch garage door sales, installation and service company. The role covers invoicing, cash application, collections and A/R reporting across all branches. Commercial receivables involve builders, general contractors and property managers on credit terms, including job-based billing, retainage and lien deadlines. Residential receivables are high-volume and fast-moving, involving technician-collected payments in the field, card and financing transactions, and same-day invoicing. The role manages both workflows and keeps each accurate and current. The position prepares and issues commercial invoices, sets up commercial accounts, tracks notices and lien deadlines, submits invoices through customer portals, reconciles job billing, and collects on commercial accounts. For residential accounts, it reviews field invoices, reconciles technician-collected payments and financing, follows up on unpaid balances, processes refunds and credits, and works with branch teams to resolve billing disputes. The role also applies payments, clears unapplied cash and credits, prepares A/R aging reports, owns A/R month-end close and reconciliations, supports sales tax accuracy and audits, documents procedures, recommends improvements, and helps train branch staff.
