Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. This position will work on our 2nd shift, which is Sunday-Wednesday from 3:30pm-1:30am. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for up to 6 months. Pratt & Whitney in Burlington, VT is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of experience working as an A&P Technician
  • Active A&P License
  • Must be a U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
  • Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience - rigging, R&I, MRP's, aircraft interface
  • Shop/Bench refurbishment experience
  • Experience with the inspection of engine parts refurbishment, troubleshooting, repairs and return to service of engines, modules and components
  • Airframe experience with Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC)-powered aircraft
  • Previous customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing and removing equipment
  • Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications
  • Manage technical products, services logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications
  • Serve as local on-site RTX representative to the customer's organization, managing statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements
