About The Position

As an A&P Mechanic IV, you will supervise maintenance crews and oversee major overhauls and inspections. You will ensure regulatory compliance and conduct training sessions for junior mechanics. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
  • Must pass, written, oral and practical assessments.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
  • Advanced experience in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
  • Must be able to work within the dynamics of a small team and operate at a high level in a fast paced environment.
  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/30 rotation.
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required day 1 of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with the Dash 8 platform
  • Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of specific aircraft models.
  • FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
  • Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
