As an A&P Mechanic III, you will lead routine maintenance projects and mentor junior mechanics. You will perform complex diagnostics and repairs independently, ensuring all work adheres to high safety and regulatory standards. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
• Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
• Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
• Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
• Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
• An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
• Extensive experience with specific aircraft models.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
• Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
