About The Position

This role involves supervising A&P mechanics and technicians in scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance. The Lead Mechanic will assign work, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities include performing, inspecting, and approving maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with FAA regulations. The position requires troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, providing technical guidance, and ensuring accurate completion of maintenance records, logbooks, and work orders. The Lead Mechanic will also operate support equipment, maintain compliance with FAA and company policies, and coordinate with various departments. A key aspect of the role is leading aircraft deliveries to ensure on-time departure and minimizing aircraft downtime by coordinating with site management and other departments. The Lead Mechanic will serve as the primary maintenance point of contact, communicating aircraft status.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED
FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certification (Must have within 60 days of start date)
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs), AD’s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals
Minimum 8 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably with an MRO company and/or FAA Repair Station.
Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data
Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions
Must have the ability to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as required.
Must be Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
Must be able to abide by DOT/FAA regulations able to pass background check and drug screening
Basic computer software and hardware experience including competency with MS Office.

Nice To Haves

Prior lead, supervisory, or crew chief experience preferred
Experience with King Air/Cessna Caravan
Experience with C-130, TH-57, TH-73 aircraft
Aircraft modification and/or overhaul experience preferred
Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus
Garmin systems experience
Experience in a fast-paced or maintenance/modification environment
