About The Position

Perform in-process and final assembly inspections to verify product conformance and provide objective evidence in accordance with QMS requirements. Inspect aircraft mechanical and pneumatic systems, components, and assemblies on prototype aircraft, including mechanical system integration. Input inspection data and document results accurately within quality systems. Follow and document complex inspection and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with engineering and quality requirements. Communicate effectively with engineering, management, and production teams regarding product acceptance criteria, inspection findings, and quality concerns. Generate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within the Oracle ERP system. Utilize CATIA V5, engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, and technical documentation to support inspection activities. Perform inspections using a variety of precision measurement tools to verify hardware and system quality. Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and aerospace industry quality standards. Promote and maintain a safe work environment while following all safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A&P License required.
  • Hands-on experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, with emphasis on aircraft mechanical and pneumatic systems, components, and prototype aircraft integration.
  • Inspection Composite Manufacturing Aircraft Manufacturing
  • A&P Licensed
  • CATIA V5 (or similar CAD tools)
  • AS9100 Quality Standards
  • Mechanical & Pneumatic Systems
  • Quality Inspection & NCRs
  • Strong understanding of FAA requirements and aviation industry systems.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
  • Experience using CATIA V5 or similar engineering/modeling tools.
  • Ability to interpret 2D/3D drawings, engineering models, and technical data.
  • Proven aerospace inspection experience using precision measurement equipment.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and technical documentation skills.
  • Basic math and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
