About The Position
New Bedford Harbor Hotel, a Lafrance Hospitality property, is currently accepting applications to fill a FULL TIME A La Carte Server position for the hotel's restaurant. We are searching for energetic, responsible, dependable, and hard-working individuals.
Requirements
- Require nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have flexible availability.
- Good with POS systems and putting orders in.
- Lifting 10+ lbs.
- Possess a pleasant, helpful personality to assure a positive experience for the guest and a positive work environment for fellow employees and management.
- Must be able to take direction.
- Must present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Nice To Haves
- TIPS- a PLUS but not a requirement
Responsibilities
- Taking specific, sometimes complex, item-by-item orders directly from guests.
- Thorough understanding of ingredients, daily specials, and drink pairings to answer guest questions.
- Staggering the delivery of appetizers, entrees, and desserts based on the guest's specific pace.
- Sets the tables with dishes, utensils, napkins.
- Bus tables, removing dishes and linen at conclusion of event.
