ADDED DUTY CONTRACT: 9th and 10th Grade Advisor
About The Position
This is an added duty contract position for a 9th and 10th Grade Advisor. The advisor will serve as a liaison between coaches and the administration, ensuring student welfare is paramount in decision-making. Responsibilities include communicating with participants, parents, and administrators, setting a high code of conduct, following safety procedures, and adhering to NSBSD and specific activity policies. The advisor will also be responsible for the annual review of handbooks, completing mandatory trainings, meeting with students to support their class and fundraising goals, coordinating with the Principal on projects and fundraising strategies, and submitting activity reports with narratives and photos.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Ability to pass a background Check

Responsibilities

- Follow safety procedures.
- Understand and adhere the NSBSD and any specific activity policies and guidelines.
- Responsible for the annual review of the Coaches’ and the Parent and Student Handbooks.
- Ensure student welfare is paramount in decision-making.
- Complete the Mandatory Trainings (Training Verification Check List Coaching and Activity Adviser Staff) on/or before the first contract day.
- Meet with students and support student class goals including fund raising goals/activities.
- Coordinate with Principal on developing projects including fund raising strategies.
- Turn in Activity Report (Brief narrative of each project (Fr/So – two (2) projects), Attach photos (if any)).
