About The Position

Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) is seeking a 911 Diversion Mental Health Therapist to join their team at the Baltimore City Police Department’s 911 Call Center. This role involves transforming the city's response to behavioral health emergencies by assessing high-acuity behavioral health calls, providing crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and safety planning. The therapist will coordinate with police, EMS, and mobile crisis teams to ensure individuals receive appropriate care, aiming to promote safety and support the community's response to behavioral health needs.

Requirements

  • Maryland LGPC or LMSW license (required)
  • 2+ years as a counseling professional
  • Strong crisis intervention skills

Nice To Haves

  • LCPC/LCSW-C (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities
