About The Position

Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) is seeking a 911 Diversion Mental Health Therapist to join their on-site team at the Baltimore City Police Department’s 911 Call Center. This role aims to transform how the city responds to behavioral health emergencies by providing a calm presence during crises. The therapist will assess high-acuity behavioral health calls, offer crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and safety planning, and collaborate with police, EMS, and mobile crisis teams to ensure appropriate care is delivered. This position is an opportunity to make a significant impact, promote safety, and support the community's response to behavioral health needs.

Requirements

  • Maryland LGPC or LMSW license (required)
  • 2+ years as a counseling professional (preferred)
  • Strong crisis intervention skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

  • LCPC/LCSW-C license (preferred)
  • 2+ years as a counseling professional
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities
