About The Position

Elma Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team as an Eighth Grade Math Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This full-time position requires creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of middle school curricula to effectively teach and inspire students.

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Mathematics Endorsement
  • WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
  • Student teaching or contracted teaching experience in a secondary setting
  • Knowledge and ability to use a variety of techniques to teach students with differing learning styles
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parent/guardians, and community
