About The Position

Neff Power, a GCG Company, is seeking a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented associate to join their 80/20 Design team. The 80/20 Builds Specialist will work with the in-house design team to craft, assemble, and configure custom industrial racks and workstations, utilizing 80/20 aluminum framing. This role involves transforming designs into tailored solutions for manufacturing customers, applying an eye for quality craftsmanship to ensure assembly in accordance with customer specifications and timely preparation for shipment. The specialist will also collaborate with the 80/20 Product Manager to address assembly issues and challenges for fast resolution. This is an opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and applying mechanical aptitude. The company is willing to train candidates who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a desire to grow.

Requirements

• A work history that demonstrates reliability and a commitment to high quality work
• Ability to recognize assembly challenges and address those promptly, escalating to other members of the design team as needed
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field of study preferred but not required
• 1 to 2 years of experience working in carpentry, welding, or a comparable hands-on industrial position preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize aluminum framing and various tools to construct custom designed aluminum structures according to customer requirements
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure accuracy and quality in the assembly process
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards and customer specifications
• Communicate frequently and effectively with the design team regarding needed product adjustments to ensure quality of finished product
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency
