About The Position

St. Brigid of Kildare School is seeking an energetic, faith-filled educator to join their 7th/8th-Grade teaching team. This full-time position is available for the 2026-2027 school year. The school is a supportive, faith-driven community committed to excellence and growth for both students and educators. The primary job goal is to assist students in mastering the skills and information in the school curriculum while helping them to grow in faith and responsibility.

Requirements

• Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach.
• Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks.
• Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for education and faith-based instruction.
• Dedication to fostering a collaborative and engaging classroom environment.
• Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught.
• Religious Education certification as required by the diocese.

Responsibilities

• Integrate Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum and school culture to support faith formation and student learning.
• Understand student learning, development, and faith formation while respecting diversity.
• Possess instructional responsibility for the content taught.
• Utilize varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate, and ensure student learning.
• Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.
• Create Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
• Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators, and the faith community to support student development, learning, and faith.
• Assume responsibility for professional academic/spiritual growth, performance, and involvement as an individual and as a member of a Catholic learning community.
