About The Position

St. Andrew School is seeking a 7th/8th Grade Science & 7th Grade Religion Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a full-time position within a Catholic school environment. The teacher will be responsible for assisting students in mastering skills and information within the school curriculum while fostering their growth in faith and responsibility. The role requires adherence to the eight standards of professional competency, including the integration of Catholic teachings, understanding student diversity, subject matter expertise, effective assessment and instruction, creating Christ-centered learning environments, collaboration with stakeholders, and commitment to professional and spiritual growth.

Requirements

• Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach.
• Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks.
• Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught.
• Religious Education certification as required by the diocese.

• Assume responsibility for professional academic/spiritual growth, performance, and involvement as an individual and as a member of a Catholic learning community.
