About The Position

This is a temporary position for a 7th & 8th Grade English Teacher at Fall Creek Junior High School. The assignment dates are from August 3 through October 13, 2026. The teacher will be responsible for meeting and instructing assigned classes, developing and maintaining a positive learning environment, and evaluating student progress. The role also involves assisting with school rules, selecting instructional materials, and communicating with students and parents. Additionally, the position requires nurturing positive relationships with colleagues, supporting corporation decisions, and working as a team player.

Responsibilities

Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
Develop and maintain a classroom environment conductive to effective learning within the limits of the available resources.
Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the available resources.
Take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
Evaluate student progress.
Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and Board policy.
Assist in selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials.
Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning student academic and behavioral progress.
Perform all other reasonable assigned duties.
Nurture a positive relationship with super-ordinates, subordinates and peers.
Demonstrate respect for super-ordinates, subordinates and peers.
Support corporation decisions and direction relative to matters of policy and administrative directives.
Work as a team player.
Demonstrate ability to deal with sensitive issues in a tactful and professional manner.
Address concerns and offer suggestions in an appropriate and confidential manner.
