Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in education with appropriate subject area from an accredited college/university.
  • Complete a state-approved teacher preparation program.
  • Hold a valid and appropriate State of Ohio certification/license for the job posting.
  • Undergo or have a current state and federal criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to differentiate instruction, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
  • Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Work closely with grade-level teams and other specialists to share best practices and student insights.
  • Maintain proactive communication with families to build a strong home-school partnership.
  • Understand student learning and development and respect the diversity of the students.
  • Know and understand the content area.
  • Understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate, and ensure student learning.
  • Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.
  • Create learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
  • Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the community to support student learning.
  • Assume responsibility for professional growth, performance and involvement as an individual and as a member of a learning community.
  • Ensure the safety of students.
  • Effectively manage the classroom.
  • Effectively manage and operate district technology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.
