About The Position

The Roger Bacon Academy is seeking an outstanding 6th grade English Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-27 school year at Classical Charter Schools of Leland in Leland, NC. This role is for an education management organization that manages multiple award-winning public charter schools in southeastern North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Education and a passion for inspiring young minds. The school utilizes a researched-based Direct Instruction curriculum focusing on phonics, penmanship, spelling, grammar, style, mathematics, science, music, and art, drawing from classical sources to provide a strong educational foundation rooted in Western civilization. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in education.
Valid teaching certificate from North Carolina or a partnering state in the area for which the candidate is applying.
Ability to teach a group of diverse learners.
Must be on their feet at all times during the day.
