About The Position

Code.org is seeking a Curriculum Product Manager to lead the work of its 6-12 Curriculum team. This role involves identifying, defining, and shipping CS and AI curriculum products for middle and high school students (grades 6-12). The ideal candidate will be a strong product manager with experience in the middle and high school CS and AI ed tech space, possess a technical understanding of CS and AI concepts, and have deep experience designing effective and engaging learning experiences for middle and high school students. Experience developing AI-focused products is highly valued.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidates will have experience as a product manager in the 6-12 ed tech/curriculum provider space as well as curriculum development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a people manager, or equivalent experience acting as a regular mentor to members of a team or managing contractors.
  • Deep knowledge of CS and AI concepts relevant to, at a minimum, the 6-12 grade bands of the CSTA standards and the AI Literacy Framework.
  • Fluency in at least one text-based programming language (e.g. Python or JavaScript) is required.
  • Deep and up-to-date understanding of curriculum development principles, ideally with an understanding of how to design effective 6-12 learning experiences in online and blended environments.

  • Deep understanding of best practices to support equitable classroom environments, and experience with student-centered pedagogy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to thrive and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional and cross-org relationships.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to drive clarity through ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with significant independence and sound judgment in ambiguous or fast-changing environments
  • A bias for action - comfortable starting, iterating, and learning rather than waiting for perfect information
  • Intellectual curiosity about emerging trends in education, technology, and AI, with a track record of proactively staying ahead rather than waiting for direction
  • Comfort with risk-taking and a healthy relationship with failure as part of the learning process
  • Passion for CS and AI education and the Code.org mission.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Work within the United States
