About The Position
The person in this position is under the general supervision of the Site Principal and is responsible for implementing the district curriculum and for carrying out the policies of Junction City School District.
Requirements
- Current Oregon Elementary Teaching License
- Recent classroom teaching experience at the elementary level
- Demonstrated positive classroom management skills
- Ability to systematically and interdependently work with a team of teachers to analyze and impact professional practice in order to improve student learning outcomes
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, administrators, students, parents, and patrons
- Ability to meet the Junction City School District Standards of Competent Teacher Performance and the Oregon Standards for Professional Educators
- Responsibility to know, understand, and adhere to District policy
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current first aid/CPR card
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated conflict resolution, parent conferencing, and supportive communication skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in problem solving (i.e. scheduling and other logistical matters)
- Fluency in Spanish
