About The Position

We are looking to welcome an energetic self-starter who is mechanically inclined and detail-oriented to join our team as a 5ton Driver / Forklift Operator at our Abbotsford location. This position combines both driving and warehouse responsibilities. Our ideal candidate drives our mission in changing the game in service and proving on time delivery, enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and embraces our Continuous Improvement culture. This position is based at 145 - 2188 Mason Street, Abbotsford, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License required
  • Valid air break endorsement required
  • 3-5 years of commercial driving experience required
  • Will be required to provide a copy of Driving Abstract
  • Knowledge of routes throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley
  • Current forklift certificate Class 1 required and Class 2 is an asset
  • 3–5 years of forklift experience required
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, as this position requires lifting, bending, and moderate physical exertion
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Team player with excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good with computers
  • A position ‘can do’ attitude
  • Open to flexible hours and overtime if necessary (no weekends)

Nice To Haves

  • Certification with high reach forklift is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Delivering product to customers daily
  • Loading orders and making deliveries; some will be hand bomb and some will be power tail gate
  • Prepare paperwork and ensure proper sign offs when delivering product
  • Providing exceptional customer service to our customers
  • Deliver product on time and accurately while ensuring safe and responsible driving
  • Maintain daily vehicle logs
  • Follow truck maintenance guidelines
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Pick and stage orders in the warehouse
  • Supporting warehouse team with offloading
  • Putting product away and order picks when needed using computer and barcode system
  • Operate a sit-down counterbalance and stand-up high reach safely and efficiently (electric)
  • Use barcode system to locate product in the warehouse
  • Ensure all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems
  • Take part in inventory cycle counts as required
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating a forklift
  • Backfilling shipper / receiver holidays
  • Other general warehouse duties as required
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
