We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Local 5-Ton Driver based from our Kitimat, BC terminal, driving for the day shift operating from Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

Must have a valid Class 5 licence.
Must submit a driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
Must pass a pre-employment screening
Must have strong attention to detail
Should be comfortable interacting with customers and providing great customer service
Has 2+ years of experience in commercial driving
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Is proficient in English, both in reading and writing

Nice To Haves

Air Brake Endorsement is an asset, but not required.
Preferably knows the National Safety Code Cargo Securement Standard 10

Responsibilities

Local pickup and delivery work with a 5 Ton truck equipped with Power Tail Gate.
Loading and unloading trucks and trailers with a forklift as needed
Proactively adhering to a high standard of safety and be safety conscious
Conduct pre-trip inspections
Complete forms and paperwork as required
Completing work & tasks under minimal supervision
