About The Position

Windham Academy is a public charter school serving students in grades K–8 through a STEM-focused, student-centered approach to learning. Our mission is to cultivate curious minds, strong character, and a lifelong love of learning in a supportive and innovative educational environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-focused 4th Grade Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging classroom culture, deliver high-quality instruction, and foster meaningful relationships with students and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • New Hampshire teaching certification (or eligibility for certification).
  • Knowledge of elementary instructional best practices and child development.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching at the elementary level.
  • Familiarity with STEM education and project-based learning.
  • Experience integrating educational technology into instruction.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with New Hampshire College and Career Ready Standards.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and character development.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Utilize data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Integrate technology and hands-on learning opportunities into daily instruction.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Support and uphold Windham Academy's mission, values, and school culture.
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
  • Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in students.
