About The Position

The Roger Bacon Academy is seeking an outstanding 4th grade Teacher to join their award-winning public charter school in southeastern North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Education and a passion for inspiring young minds. The school utilizes a research-based Direct Instruction curriculum focusing on phonics, writing, mathematics, science, music, and art, drawing from classical traditions to provide a strong educational foundation. The academy is committed to the belief that every child can learn when properly taught and employs specific methods and support staff to ensure academic and behavioral success, offering a rewarding opportunity to witness student transformations. The position is eligible for a Teacher Supplement in addition to pay based on the North Carolina State Salary Scale for Bachelor's Degrees.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education.
Valid teaching certificate from North Carolina or a partnering state in the area for which the candidate is applying.
Ability to be on feet at all times during the day for constant circulation throughout the room working with individual students.
