About The Position

This role involves operating and monitoring steam plant equipment, including boilers, turbines, and auxiliary systems. The successful candidate will perform routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain accurate logs. A key aspect of the position is ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. The role also includes assisting in the development of operational procedures, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with other departments for seamless operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2 of the following courses completed; Chemistry 20, Physics 20 or Math 20; or a valid 4th or 3rd Class Power Engineer Certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating steam plant equipment, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of steam plant operations, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficient in the use of computerized control systems and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
