About The Position
West Fraser's Edson division in Edson, Alberta, is recruiting for a 4th Class Power Engineer. This role is for an experienced, dedicated, and proactive key player to join the Engineering team at Edson Forest Products.
Requirements
- A 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
- Proven skills and experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed
- Physical ability to work 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Ensuring consistent operation of the Thermal Plant
- Facilitating the reliable supply of services to the sawmill
- Assisting the Kiln Operators when appropriate
- Effective fuel management
