About The Position

Windsor Salt's Evaporation Facility in Windsor, Ontario has an opening for a Pan Room Operator (requiring 4th Class Operating Engineer qualification). This person will be responsible for operating the food grade evaporation operations and effectively communicating and problem-solving with the team to ensure production is running efficiently. The successful candidate will be able to work a 12-hour continental shift schedule. Please note that this position does not work in the powerhouse, but in the Pan Room of the salt evaporation operations. As a result, accumulating steam hours is not part of this position.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
Safety-conscious team player
Current Provincial certificate of qualification as a 4th Class Operating Engineer

Nice To Haves

Any other certifications, such as GMP, confined spaces and lock out training, will be considered an asset.

Efficiently operating the Windsor Salt food grade evaporation operations
Effectively communicating and problem-solving with the maintenance team
