About The Position

This position supports manufacturing by leading and directing line employees' daily assignments, operating production equipment to meet manufacturing targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role involves developing production associates and identifying the root cause of non-conforming product and downtime to implement recurrence prevention actions. This Team Lead will specifically focus on the PCU Department on the 3rd Shift.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience performing production work in multiple functions of the manufacturing environment
• Proven history of maintaining professional demeanor and conduct and exercising initiative
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and processes in or out of the assigned area
• Basic experience required in MSWord, Excel, and the Internet
• Must have good attendance

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a leadership role (Committee, Quality Circle, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in planning rotations and training to the Work Instructions with production associates to ensure quality products, smooth production, and low scrap/rejects.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment.
• Understand inventories and generate detailed carryovers.
• Verify production documents are properly completed and maintained, and take appropriate action to contain and control out-of-compliance conditions.
• Keep the line running with immediate actions, including calling for Machine TA support, notifying QC with part issues, and requesting Supervisor assistance when needed.
• Train, develop, and mentor associates, and enforce PPE usage.
• Assist in Root Cause Analysis and Countermeasure Development & Implementation.
• Act as a liaison between Production, Quality, and Engineering.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as sorts, quality alerts, temporary work instructions, and 6S activities.
