About The Position

St. Mary German Village is seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education, possess excellent classroom management skills, and be enthusiastic about nurturing the academic and spiritual growth of students in a faith-based environment. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
Valid Ohio teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
Strong understanding of and commitment to Catholic teachings and values.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Completion of the Virtus Protecting God's Children training
Appropriate state certification/license: as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
Religious Education certification as required by the diocese

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching 3rd grade in a Catholic or private school setting.
Familiarity with integrating technology into classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with diocesan curriculum standards.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered classroom environment.
Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom activities.
Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents regularly.
Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success.
Participate in school and parish activities as appropriate.
Assist students in mastering the skills and information in the school curriculum while helping them to grow in faith and responsibility.
Contribute to the integration of Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum and school culture as it supports faith formation and student learning.
Understand student learning, development, and faith formation while respecting the diversity of students.
Know and understand the content for which they have instructional responsibility.
Use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate and ensure student learning.
Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.
Create Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the faith community to support student development, learning and faith.
Assume responsibility for their professional academic/spiritual growth, performance, and involvement as an individual and as a member of a Catholic learning community.
