About The Position

St. Mary German Village is seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd Grade Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education, possess excellent classroom management skills, and be enthusiastic about nurturing the academic and spiritual growth of students in a faith-based environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
  • Valid Ohio teaching license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to Catholic teachings and values.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Completion of the Virtus Protecting God's Children training
  • Appropriate state certification/license: as required by the grade levels and subjects taught
  • Religious Education certification as required by the diocese

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching 3rd grade in a Catholic or private school setting.
  • Familiarity with integrating technology into classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with diocesan curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and faith-centered classroom environment.
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents regularly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student success.
  • Participate in school and parish activities as appropriate.
  • Assist students in mastering the skills and information in the school curriculum while helping them to grow in faith and responsibility.
  • Contribute to the integration of Catholic teachings and virtues throughout the curriculum and school culture as it supports faith formation and student learning.
  • Understand student learning, development, and faith formation while respecting the diversity of students.
  • Know and understand the content for which they have instructional responsibility.
  • Use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate and ensure student learning.
  • Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.
  • Create Christ-centered learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students.
  • Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the faith community to support student development, learning and faith.
  • Assume responsibility for their professional academic/spiritual growth, performance, and involvement as an individual and as a member of a Catholic learning community.
