About The Position

Lamar Advertising's Graphics plant in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a 3D Technician to assist Senior 3D Technicians in bringing large-scale props for billboards to life. The role involves operating expanded polystyrene (EPS) CNC cutting and finish-coating machines, working under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments and directions.
Critical eye for color and depth perception.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

1 year of operating CNC cutting and finish-coating machines preferred.
1 year of painting or auto body experience preferred.
1-2 years of Printing or Graphics Experience preferred.
Some equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior 3D Technicians by operating two expanded polystyrene (EPS) CNC cutting and finish-coating machines.
Paint and airbrush completed 3D props.
Receive orders using Lamar’s production control systems and schedule orders.
Perform routine service and maintenance on cutting mills.
Load/unload blocks of EPS and sheets of coroplast based on shipping priorities.
Assure size and shape correctness of EPS.
Handle materials, including safely operating forklifts, hoists, and finishing equipment.
Clean and shape finished material and prepare for coating.
Work with and understand the software used on finishing machinery.
Complete log sheets to record material usage for inventory management.
Construct digital backlit logos.
Perform general housekeeping duties and ensure a safe work area.
