About The Position

The 3D Senior Operator will help expand ABCorp’s 3D/additive manufacturing operation at its Columbia, Tennessee facility. The role is accountable for supporting effective management of productivity, quality control, labor, and safety within the operation. The position works closely with the Vice President of 3D Solutions and the management team to establish and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in an operations management role.
Knowledge of production management.
Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations.
Strong managerial and supervisory skills.
Strong problem-solving capability and willingness to work hands-on.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
Experience using an ERP system and aptitude for learning new software applications.
Thorough understanding of general safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred.
Experience in 3D/additive manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate job expectations and plan, monitor, appraise, and review employee contributions.
Contribute operational information and recommendations to strategic plans; prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems; and identify trends.
Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; and develop processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
Analyze and improve organizational processes and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Manage relationships with key operations vendors.
Serve as the primary point of contact for issues related to equipment quality.
Work with the Vice President of 3D Solutions and the management team to set or implement policies, procedures, and systems, and follow through on implementation.
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs.
Oversee materials and plan inventory appropriately.
Work with Human Resources to recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
Perform other duties as business needs arise.
