About The Position

As the 3D Printing Manager at Droyd, you will own the day-to-day operation of our printing workflow. You will keep printers running, manage materials, and make sure printed parts are produced reliably and on time. This is a hands-on operational role for someone who likes keeping systems organized, running, and improving over time. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to support rapid hardware iteration. This role is based on-site in San Francisco, CA.

Requirements

Have hands-on experience with 3D printing workflows
Are organized and detail-oriented
Can keep multiple machines and priorities running smoothly
Are comfortable troubleshooting and maintaining hardware
Work well in a fast-paced prototyping environment

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting hardware, robotics, or prototype teams
Experience with printer maintenance and tuning
Experience managing print queues or shared shop resources

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day operation of the 3D printing workflow
Manage print queues, part prioritization, and machine uptime
Prepare, monitor, and post-process printed parts
Meet turnaround expectations for engineering and prototype builds
Handle material management, including storage and filament care
Maintain printers and troubleshoot common failures
Keep machines tuned, calibrated, and ready to run
Work closely with engineers and technicians to support rapid hardware iteration
Help improve reliability, throughput, and organization of the printing operation
Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient print area
