About The Position

Christ Community Health Services is seeking an experienced, strategic 340B Program Director to provide executive-level oversight of our 340B Drug Pricing Program. Reporting to the Chair of Pharmacy, the 340B Program Director serves as CCHS’s organizational authority on 340B compliance, governance, operations, and program strategy. The director advises senior leadership, participates in organizational decision-making, and develops the systems necessary to maintain program integrity, maximize eligible savings, and support access to affordable healthcare. This position collaborates with pharmacy, finance, legal, compliance, information technology, and operational leadership, as well as contract pharmacies, manufacturers, wholesalers, and third-party administrators. The director also supervises two 340B Analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, business, finance, compliance, or a related field.
  • 340B ACE certification or at least three years of direct 340B Program experience.
  • Active Tennessee pharmacist or pharmacy technician license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HRSA and Office of Pharmacy Affairs requirements, contract-pharmacy operations, covered-entity eligibility, patient-definition standards, and audit expectations.
  • Experience directing 340B audits, corrective action plans, regulatory monitoring, and audit-readiness activities.
  • Experience advising senior leadership on compliance, financial, operational, and strategic matters.
  • Experience working with third-party administrators, wholesalers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract pharmacies, and healthcare vendors.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance and translate it into organizational strategy and practical operating standards.
  • Experience supervising and developing employees.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • Experience working in an FQHC, community health center, or healthcare organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s 340B Program.
  • Serve as CCHS’s primary authority on 340B regulations, compliance requirements, policies, and industry developments.
  • Advise executive leadership regarding program performance, regulatory risk, audit findings, financial opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive governance structure for all 340B-related activities.
  • Develop, implement, review, and approve policies and procedures in accordance with organizational, state, and federal requirements.
  • Coordinate policy review and approval with legal and compliance leadership and the Board Quality and Compliance Committee.
  • Monitor changes in HRSA, Office of Pharmacy Affairs, Medicaid, manufacturer, and other applicable 340B guidance.
  • Translate regulatory developments into organizational strategies, policies, procedures, training, and operational controls.
  • Oversee annual HRSA recertification and maintain accurate information in the HRSA 340B Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System.
  • Direct the timely registration of eligible sites and contract pharmacies.
  • Establish an enterprise-wide audit and monitoring program for all locations and points of service participating in the 340B Program.
  • Oversee monthly audits of 340B-eligible locations and activity at the covered-entity, contract-pharmacy, wholesaler, and third-party administrator levels.
  • Ensure appropriate verification of covered-entity, patient, prescription, and site eligibility.
  • Direct annual independent external audits of the full 340B Program.
  • Serve as the organizational leader for all 340B audits, document requests, responses, corrective actions, and remediation activities.
  • Maintain continuous audit readiness and provide senior leadership with regular updates regarding compliance risks and findings.
  • Evaluate current and proposed contract-pharmacy arrangements, including contract terms, fee structures, data requirements, financial performance, and compliance controls.
  • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer and Chair of Pharmacy when evaluating contracts, vendors, and strategic business opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost savings, contract-pharmacy utilization, operational efficiency, and program performance.
  • Develop and lead action plans to address compliance, financial, operational, and technology gaps.
  • Establish performance measures and provide leadership reports regarding program utilization, savings, audit results, discrepancies, trends, and corrective actions.
  • Work with pharmacy leadership and informatics teams to ensure clinical systems and electronic interfaces support accurate and compliant 340B operations.
  • Maintain productive relationships with contract pharmacies, third-party administrators, wholesalers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, legal counsel, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Direct the reconciliation and resolution of inventory, claims, data, and manufacturer concerns.
  • Oversee organization-wide 340B education and ensure that employees understand their responsibilities within the program.
  • Supervise, develop, coach, and evaluate two 340B Analysts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
