About The Position

Baptist Health is looking for a Remote 340B Program Coordinator to join our Pharmacy Team! This position provides local oversight of the 340B program and will utilize 340B software to maintain program compliance according to OPA. The role involves managing and troubleshooting pharmacy billing issues, evaluating patient eligibility, and serving as the primary internal program coordinator and liaison for all 340B-related matters. The coordinator will also assess opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, collaborate with leadership, and provide oversight for audits.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Business or Computer Science OR three years in direct 340B pharmacy coordination experience.
  • Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board with a Kentucky registry OR 3+ years in direct 340B pharmacy coordination experience.
  • Must obtain Pharmacy technician Certification within 6 months.
  • PTCB Certification is required if working on-site in a Baptist Health Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain split-billing software.
  • Ensure continuous compliance of the 340B pharmacy program with federal regulations.
  • Develop, execute, and document self-audits of the 340B process.
  • Coordinate and ensure remediation of audit findings.
  • Review and monitor all points of service where 340B participation occurs to ensure policy and procedure compliance, covered entity eligibility, and “covered patient” eligibility.
  • Manage and troubleshoot pharmacy billing issues and ensure adequate systems checks are in place to prevent billing issues.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients in hospital-based mixed-use areas by reviewing patient medical records, insurance plans, and hospital status.
  • Serve as the primary internal program coordinator and liaison for all 340B-related matters.
  • Assess opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to yield higher compliance.
  • Collaborate with system and local leadership to improve and enhance service offerings.
  • Provide oversight for the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor purchasing records and clearly document utilization, savings, problem areas, and exceptions or discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels to effectively balance product availability and cost-efficient inventory control.
  • Serve as the point person and coordinator for all mock, HRSA, and manufacturer audits.
  • Maintain a current state of “audit readiness”.
  • Provide oversight for all audits performed by independent external auditors.
  • Assist in monitoring reports to ensure compliance with the program.
