340B Contract Pharmacy Auditor / Program Specialist
About The Position
This role assists in developing and maintaining tracking mechanisms for Sunset Health Pharmacy compliance programs. The specialist will support pharmacy leadership with specialized computer hardware and software maintenance updates, and ensure adherence to HRSA, 340B, and State and Federal Pharmacy rules and regulations. Key responsibilities include tracking and verifying drug wholesaler invoices for accuracy, placing orders through the 340B contract pharmacy program, and verifying the eligibility of captured prescriptions according to HRSA guidelines and company policies. The role also involves verifying payments from the 340B contract pharmacy program, addressing billing discrepancies, and training/supervising the 340B contract pharmacy auditor/referral tracker. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience with 340B compliance programs
- Familiarity with HRSA, 340B, and State and Federal Pharmacy rules and regulations
- Ability to track and verify drug wholesaler invoices
- Experience placing orders for pharmaceutical products
- Skill in verifying prescription eligibility for 340B
- Experience verifying payments and billing accuracy
- Ability to address incorrect billing issues
- Experience in training and supervision

Responsibilities
- Assists in developing tracking mechanisms for Sunset Health Pharmacy compliance programs
- Assists pharmacy leadership with specialized computer hardware and software maintenance updates
- Maintains Sunset Health Pharmacy 340B compliance programs
- Tracks and verifies drug wholesaler invoices for accuracy of product and 340b pricing
- Places orders for product obtained through the 340B contract pharmacy program
- Assists pharmacy leadership with compliance programs to ensure adherence to HRSA, 340B, and State and Federal Pharmacy rules and regulations
- Schedules and runs meetings with 34oB TPA managers and addresses any contract pharmacy issues
- Verifies all captured prescriptions by TPA’s are eligible through 340B HRSA guidelines and Sunset Health’s policies and procedures
- Verifies any prescription that is from an outside provider is eligible for 340B and captured by the TPA’s
- Verifies with the billing department that payment from 340b contract pharmacy program has been received in a timely manner, and verifies billing is correct
- Addresses any incorrect billing issues
- Responsible for the training and supervision of 340B contract pharmacy auditor/referral tracker
- Other duties as assigned
