About The Position

Kal Tire is seeking a 310T Licensed Truck and Coach Technician for a full-time, permanent role in their Ottawa, ON store. This position involves performing routine maintenance, complex repairs on semi-trucks, trailer alignments, diagnostics, electrical work, and installing components like bushings and kingpin shocks. Requirements

  • Fully licensed as a 310T Heavy Duty Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal certified)
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments
  • Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
  • Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
  • Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
