About The Position

OCL Group Inc. (OCL) is seeking a motivated Second Year Pipefitter Apprentice to join their team for an upcoming turnaround at the CNRL Horizon, IPL Pioneer 2 Facility. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on industrial experience and collaborate with experienced tradespeople in a safety-conscious setting. The position involves a 10/4 schedule, which will transition to a 6/1 schedule for three weeks before returning to the 10/4 rotation. Daily work hours will be 10 hours during pre/post turnaround periods and 12 hours during the execution phase. A Living Out Allowance (LOA) will be provided.

Requirements

Registered 2nd Year Apprentice Pipefitter/Steamfitter.
A "safety-first" mindset and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment (climbing, lifting, and working outdoors).
Valid safety tickets: H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, and CSTS-2020 (or equivalent).
Valid driver’s license and a clean abstract and reliable transportation to travel to Fort McMurray.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

Previous industrial construction experience (mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial) is a strong asset.
Standard First Aid is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Assisting Journeymen with daily pipefitting installation and maintenance tasks.
Learning to read and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs.
Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials under supervision.
Participating in safe bolt-up procedures and supporting hydro/pneumatic testing.
Actively participating in toolbox meetings and identifying site hazards.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and your own professional growth.
