About The Position

Health Systems Cooperative Laundries is currently hiring for several FULL TIME Pre-Sorter positions. This role is responsible for opening, emptying, and sorting bags of soiled hospital linens into established linen classifications. The position also requires compliance with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of safety standards.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with an attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift such as push, pull, and lift.
• Energetic, self-starter.
• Basic ability to speak and understand English.
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Opening, emptying, and sorting bags of soiled hospital linens into established linen classifications.
