About The Position

Parrish & Heimbecker (P&H) is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual to join their Milling division as a 2nd Miller in Hamilton, ON. P&H Milling Group is the largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing a variety of quality flour and cereal products from wheat sourced across Canada. They operate mills in multiple locations across Canada and supply flour internationally. This role is crucial for assisting in the daily operations of the mill.

Requirements

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Previous experience in manufacturing considered an asset
Food Safety experience and knowledge is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Transferring bulk loads
Loading bulk flour tankers
Assisting daily operations of the mill
Prepare and load flour tankers to ship to customers
Transfer and blend flour meeting specified recipe requirements
Coordinate with Logistics Manager and truck drivers to organize and prepare daily outgoing orders
Work effectively in a food processing environment with high standards for production quality
Ensure good manufacturing practice, hazardous awareness critical control point and Company policies and procedures are followed
Participate during heat treatment, cleaning, sifter, and sieve maintenance
Perform daily tasks, checks and monitoring according to guidelines set out by the Head Miller
Complete work orders for mill shutdowns, monthly inspection items, corrective action reports requirements and scheduled tasks
Complete required inspection reports and work orders accurately
Cleaning duties as required, shared with millers daily cleaning schedule
