About The Position
Responsible for assisting in all golf course and grounds maintenance and management; including clubhouse grounds and horticultural plantings. This role involves frequent interaction with vendors and occasional interaction with members and guests.

- Must have non-commercial pesticide applicators license, from the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of all turf management programs and practices.
- Participate in the development and execution of golf course budget and monitoring thereof.
- Assist in supervision of routine maintenance functions, assist in scheduling, Assignments, and equipment distribution, and be held accountable for the same.
- Assist in the supervision of all improvement work and projects on golf course as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
- Assist in supervision of irrigation and drainage systems operation and maintenance.
- Directly supervise and, on occasion, perform fertilization, spraying, and cultural activities on all turf areas as assigned by the superintendent.
- Assist in the hiring, disciplining, and discharging of golf course personnel.
- Assist in the training of all crew members as required for proper work performance and safety.
- Assist in the recording of documentation of weather, work, spray, fertilization, cultural, and other data as required in designated logbooks and forms.
- Obtain and maintain certification license from State of Texas for applying pesticides.
- Communicate with shop mechanics for all repairs and service.
- Maintain communications with other supervisors as needed.
- Subject to flexible schedule and hours and required to be on call for emergencies.
- Performs other related duties as requested by the Superintendent or General Manager.
