About The Position

The 21st Century After School Teacher supervises student conduct and provides instructional support to individual students and small groups. The role reinforces material planned or presented by classroom teachers, supports access to the curriculum, assists with classroom activities and technology, and helps administer assessments. The teacher also performs clerical tasks and other duties as assigned. About 90% of the time is spent with students, and the teacher assists with lesson plans.

This is a part-time, exempt position for the 2026–2027 school year at Bella Romero K-8 Academy of Applied Technology. Hours vary. The position reports to the 21st Century Site Facilitator and pays $30.00 per hour. Regular attendance is required.

Requirements

• Colorado Teaching License.
• Basic knowledge of computer data entry.
• Basic knowledge of office procedures and office equipment.
• Basic knowledge of reading, arithmetic, grammar, and spelling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and district staff.
• Ability to perform all functions of the position.
• Willingness to learn assistive technology software.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce instructional material planned or presented by classroom teachers.
• Assist with computer assignments and classroom activities.
• Support individual students’ access to the curriculum, including note-taking, reading, and assistive technology.
• Instruct small groups in assigned content areas in alignment with in-building or in-district training.
• Administer selected assessments in alignment with in-building or in-district training.
• Administer tests and other assignments as assigned.
• Perform clerical duties, including copying, laminating, record keeping, data entry, filing, and cutting and pasting.
• Use technology for data entry and instruction, including hardware and software programs.
• Monitor students before, during, and after school, including on the playground and in the cafeteria.
• Implement the school’s PBIS.
• Assist with lesson plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
