About The Position

Air Liquide is seeking 2027 Summer Engineering Interns across multiple locations in the US. This internship is designed to introduce college students to Air Liquide and the industrial gas industry. Air Liquide supplies essential gases, molecules, services, and technologies to a wide range of industries, providing innovative solutions vital to their industrial production and sustainability. With a presence in over 78 countries, we serve more than 1,000,000 customers globally in diverse sectors like steel, food and beverage, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. Interns will work in a specific area of Air Liquide to develop their knowledge and skills, build relationships with colleagues at all levels, and learn about the company's corporate identity and culture. Eligible interns may be considered for the ALLEX program. Examples of engineering internship roles include Plant Operations, Technical Support, and Project Engineer.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical and Mechanical)
  • Expected graduation between May 2028 and May 2029
  • Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Must be able to provide own daily transportation to/from work
  • Must secure and finance own housing
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be open and flexible to relocate anywhere in the US during and post program

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to the daily management and efficient operation of a production facility.
  • Assist plant management and/or engineering teams in the execution of large maintenance activities and/or plant process improvements.
  • Become familiar with a specific production technology/process based on the location as well as a general introduction to the plant working environment.
  • Provide engineering support to zone engineering teams responsible for the execution of efficiency and continuous improvement projects at various plant locations within a defined geographical area.
  • Support zone reliability centers in the execution of major plant maintenance and installation of new equipment.
  • Become familiar with one or more specific plant technologies (based on location) and existing operational efficiency models.
  • Assist experienced project engineers and/or managers in the execution of small (<$2M), medium ($2M - $10M), or large (>$10M) projects.
  • Includes interactions with vendors and customers, troubleshooting installations of new equipment, project cost estimation and oversight of maintenance and operational personnel.
  • Become familiar with project management methodologies and reporting tools.

Benefits

  • Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
