About The Position

The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell. This intern will focus on supporting new product development initiatives within the utility market by collaborating with product managers and engineers on product strategy, customer support, and innovation projects. Responsibilities include contributing to NPD project activities, assisting with customer complaint investigations, participating in manufacturing site visits to gain exposure to production operations, and building an understanding of the utility industry and power infrastructure value chain. The intern will also support the evaluation and development of early-stage product concepts, helping advance innovative connector solutions from initial idea generation through the product development process.

Requirements

  • Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship program period (May-August 2027), pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree related to the internship (required)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
  • Exposure to programming, CAD software, 3D printing, robotics, or other technical design and prototyping tools preferred
  • Interest or coursework in electrical engineering, power systems, utilities, physics, or related technical fields
  • Passion for innovation, product development, sustainability, and supporting the future of electrical grid infrastructure

Benefits

  • Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour.
