About The Position

Americo and IPFS are co-hosting a paid, 10-week summer internship program in Kansas City. Interns will work on business projects, build professional skills, network with professionals across the companies, and gain real-world experience. Opportunities are available across departments including Sales, Accounting, Marketing, Project Management, IT, Claims, New Business, Producer Services, and Operations. The program includes mentoring, professional development, team-building activities, independent and team projects, exposure to the Executive Leadership Team, and career development. An opportunity for conversion is offered. The internship runs from June through August and is onsite; candidates must be in the Kansas City area. Limited housing is available.

Requirements

Must be currently pursuing a degree and remain fully enrolled in the program for the duration of the internship.
Must be able to begin the internship in June in Kansas City.
Must have freshman through senior standing at a four-year institution and be pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Must be able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
Must be in the Kansas City area because the internship is onsite.
Strong communication skills and passion for working with others.
Self-directed, creative, and willing to go the extra mile for the team.
High energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
Able to use Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Work on business projects and initiatives.
Participate in mentoring, professional development, and team-building activities.
Network with professionals across Americo, IPFS, and fellow interns.
Complete independent and team project experiences.
