About The Position

Universal Music Group (UMG) is the world’s leading music company, committed to artistry, innovation, and entrepreneurship, operating in over 60 countries across recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content. The Global Technology Operations Intern will support the planning, coordination, and execution of technology-related activities across multiple mergers and acquisitions within UMG’s Global Technology organization. This role is ideal for a student interested in technology, project management, process design, or business operations who wants hands-on exposure to large-scale integration work in a fast-paced, global environment. The intern will assist with several key workstreams that sit at the intersection of technology, business operations, and cross-functional coordination. The role combines structured project support, data analysis, documentation, and the development of scalable processes and tools used across active and upcoming integrations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursuing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
  • Graduating between Spring 2026 - Fall 2028
  • Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing or transportation accommodations)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
  • Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including organizing data, building visuals, and structuring clean presentations.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to summarize discussions, create clear documentation, and prepare concise updates for leadership.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities, including managing multiple tasks, tracking action items, and maintaining structured documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support core operational, technology, and coordination activities by helping maintain project trackers, update timelines, prepare meeting materials, and document action items across multiple workstreams.
  • Assist with data and reporting by compiling non sensitive information, updating visuals for leadership decks, tracking progress against key milestones, and creating simple dashboards that improve visibility and organization.
  • Help build and maintain a centralized SharePoint portal that houses templates, guides, processes, and reference materials in a clear, user friendly format.
  • Support Chief of Staff operations by coordinating agendas, capturing discussions, organizing documentation, and helping streamline communication and team processes.
