About The Position

Vestwell is seeking interns for its 10-week Summer Tech Internship Program (June 8 to August 10, 2026), focusing on AI Engineering and CyberSecurity. Interns will design and build AI-powered solutions, work on real projects with cross-functional teams, and contribute through research, data analysis, and execution. Each intern will receive support from a manager and mentor, with regular feedback. The program aims for interns to contribute to a defined deliverable, operate independently, and gain a strong understanding of Vestwell’s business.

Requirements

Rising or current seniors, or recent graduates (including boot camps or similar programs)
Based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in New York City, Austin, or King of Prussia
Available for the full 10-week program (June 8 to August 10, 2026)
Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, TypeScript, or similar)
Foundational understanding of software development principles and SDLC
Familiarity with version control (Git)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Collaborative, proactive, and coachable working style
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the full duration of the internship without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Candidates on F-1 or J-1 visas must have valid work authorization that allows for full-time internship participation, such as CPT, OPT, or J-1 Intern authorization through a designated sponsor.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot)
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Jira, Notion, Monday.com)
Exposure to AI tools or workflow automation platforms (e.g. Claude Cowork)
Prior internship, work, or relevant project experience
Knowledge of financial services, fintech, or retirement industry concepts
Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI frameworks (e.g. LangChain, OpenAI APIs)
Prior internship or project experience in software engineering
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Responsibilities

Contribute to AI-powered feature development across the engineering stack
Build and evaluate LLM-based workflows and integrations
Write, test, and review code in Python, TypeScript, or a similar backend language
Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate within an agile team environment
Document technical work and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
