About The Position

The Drug Product Development (DPD) team in Philadelphia is part of Roche’s Gene Therapy Technical Development function and is seeking a highly motivated Intern. As a member of our dedicated Process Development function, you will play a key role in formulation and method development. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the technical and analytical capabilities within DPD, supporting our gene therapy portfolio. This internship position is located in Philadelphia, PA, on-site.

Requirements

Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program).
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student).
Must have attained a Master's Degree.
Majors: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
Practical experience with protein- and/or DNA-related laboratory techniques and safety.
Strong academic understanding of nucleic acid and protein sciences and biophysical characterization.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience with AAV formulation and biophysical characterization techniques.
Work alongside Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, execute, and analyze wet-lab experiments.
Document experimental protocols and results in laboratory notebooks, and present technical findings to the DPD team and collaborators.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at optimizing process development workflows.
